SPIE/OSA student chapter UW Madison
Besides doing my research, I am also involved with other organization extensively involved in outreach. I am currently the Vice President of SPIE/OSA student Chapter UW Madison. SPIE is an American not-for-profit professional society for optics and photonics technology founded in 1955 with over 18000 member. The Optical Society (OSA) is a scientific society dedicated to advancing the study of light--optics and photonics with over 19000 members.
This chapter's goal is to help connect students all over campus with the resources they need for future development through seminars, industry outings and informal gatherings. We do exciting outreach showing cool science to kids and involve people around Madison.
